“Regional Emergency Services members did a great job representing Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo at the World Police and Fire Games in Winnipeg,” says Greg Bennett, Strategist of Communications and Engagement for the RMWB.

“We’d like to congratulate them all.”

The biennial event is being held in Winnipeg with over 8,500 athletes competing in nearly 60 sports.

The games serve as a celebration of firefighters and law enforcement worldwide while showcasing their skill and athleticism in sports ranging from Archery to Wrestling.

The World Police and Firefighter Games kicked off on July 28th and will continue until August 6th.

The next games will take place between June 27-July 6, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama.
