Local businesses donate $30,000 to help restore Fort McMurray Saints gear

A Hail Mary plea for help has landed the Fort McMurray Saints Football team new practice gear.

The team suffered a loss of $30,000 worth of equipment due to a blitz of spring rain flooding their practice field in Timberlea.

Shortly after going public with their predicament, the team received two major donations from the community to help them forward.

Yeti Roughrider Rentals and J & S Bridge Construction each pledged $15,000 to help the team make up the loss.

In a media release, the Saints expressed their collective gratitude for the generosity of the two companies.

“We are profoundly grateful for the overwhelming support from Yeti Roughrider and J&S Bridge Construction,” says Kevin Garbuio, Co-head Coach for the Fort McMurray Saints.

“Their generosity has not only restored our practice equipment but also renewed our faith in the power of community.”

The Fort McMurray Saints are vowing to make a triumphant return to the field this coming football season. The club says they are looking forward to showcasing the results of the incredible collaboration with Yeti Roughrider and J&S Bridge Construction.
