Advance voting locations open across province

Elections Alberta has opened the advance voting locations for the 2023 Provincial Election.

The advance voting locations will be open until Saturday, May 27, 2023.

There are three locations in Fort McMurray, one located in Anzac, one in Fort McKay, and a few located on different sites for camp residents only.

The Fort McMurray locations are open between 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and are located at:

  • Fort McMurray Islamic Centre, 109 Abraham Drive
  • Stonebridge Hotel, 9713 Hardin St
  • Quality Hotel – Crystal Room, 424 Gregoire Dr

The other locations fluctuate in days and times of availability.

You can find the full list of locations, including the one closest to you, at map.elections.ab.ca

Elections Alberta will also be using electronic voting records and tabulators during advance voting.

The tabulators will scan ballots, after they have been marked by the voter, to record the vote.

The tabulators will either record your vote or prompt you with an error message if it cannot determine the vote.

A vote cannot be determined if the ballot is deemed blank, or more than one candidate was selected.

In this case, voters are given an opportunity to receive a replacement ballot to ensure they cast their vote as intended.
