The RMWB council has approved legal support to be provided to councillor Dogar.

$10,000 is being provided to cover a defamation lawsuit by Sultan Zaman, as well as SMG Builders.

The RMWB legal service has determined that the councillor has insurance coverage for a legal defence under the Commercial General Liability Policy.

The municipality would have likely been found liable under this policy by the court if they did not agree.

Mayor Sandy Bowman said he hopes to see a payment plan to pay back taxpayers for this payment.
