Volunteers helping clean highways on May 6

If you’re traveling on Alberta’s highways this weekend, be on the lookout for people on the sides of the roads.

Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on May 6, volunteers in orange safety vests will be collecting trash along highways across the province.

These workers come from various service organizations pitching in to help keep our province looking good.

Please slow down, obey signs, watch for pedestrians, and use caution when passing cleanup crews.

In the event of wildfire activity, or inclement weather, some cleanup work may be delayed until May 13.
