The RMWB states fire behaviour has dissipated, and the effectiveness of suppression efforts means that an evacuation order will not be issued today. The evacuation alert will remain in place as a precautionary measure.
Alberta Wildfire has three helicopters completing bucketing operations, and several wildland firefighters working to control the fire.
The Municipality says the next update will be Wednesday morning, May 3.

The RMWB is issuing an evacuation alert for Gregoire Lake Estates, Anzac, and Fort McMurray First Nation 468.
The Municipality states a wildfire nearby could potentially spread towards the communities.
An evacuation alert means you should be ready to leave on short notice. An evacuation order has not been issued.
The Municipality advises you to stay aware and informed by following along with the RMWB or the Alberta Emergency Alerts app.
They also advise you to prepare a 72-hour emergency kit, prepare an emergency plan for your household, close all windows, and keep all combustibles at least 1.5 metres away from your home and propane tanks and woodpiles at least 10 metres away.
The wildfire (MWF-009-2023), currently southeast of Fort McMurray, is around 5 hectares and is categorized as out of control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
