9th Annual Spring Food Drive hauls in over $18,000

The Wood Buffalo Food Banks’ (WBFB) 9th Annual Spring Food Drive was another massive success this year.

Over the weekend, the community came together to raise $18,365, and 28,113 pounds of food was donated.

“The past year has been a challenging one for many people in our area, reaching a record number of families served,” says WBFB Executive Director Dan Edwards.

“We are proud to be a part of such a caring supportive community, and we are committed to continuing to serve our neighbours in need for many years to come.”

The food drive saw donations come through across 11 grocery stores in the RMWB.

Edwards says this achievement is a testament to the generosity and compassion to the people of Wood Buffalo.
