Father Mercredi at World Championships of Robotics

Two robotics teams from Father Mercredi High School are competing at the world championships in robotics.

Over the next 10 days, Team UnBEARable (5760B) and Team Cobra Chickenz (5760C) will be up against 800 other teams from across the world at the tournament.

The VEX Robotics World Championships are being held in Dallas, Texas this year from April 25 – May 4.

“To say we are proud of these teams is an understatement. They keep expanding on their own success,” says Robotics Head Coach Tom MacIsaac.

“We can’t wait to see what happens in Dallas!”

UnBEARable 5670B and Cobra Chickenz 5760C are ranked 3rd and 4th, respectively in Alberta Skills standings and are now ranked 324th (team 5760B) and 531st (team 5760C) in the world rankings.

The VEX Robotics World Championship brings together the top VEX IQ Competition, VEX Robotics Competition, and VEX U teams from around the globe to celebrate their accomplishments and participate to be crowned champions.

Father Mercredi Robotics Coach, Holly Kalma notes that the students are not only representing themselves, but also their school, their district, our city, and even the country.
