The Municipality is closing the winter road to Fort Chipewyan.
Due to warm weather, conditions on the route are deteriorating and the road is no longer safe to travel.
The RMWB says that all rig mats will be removed from the route by Wednesday, April 5th. This renders the route impassable.
The RM has placed barricades and signage to inform motorists of the road closure and inform everyone that there are no detours.
