AHS Hosts Pregnancy Health Information Fair on Saturday

Alberta Health Services is inviting new and expectant parents to a Pregnancy Health Information Fair on Saturday.

AHS is offering participants the opportunity to learn more about routine childhood immunizations, infant feeding and nutrition, safety, and other concerns.

At the event, AHS healthcare professionals will be available to meet privately one-on-one with expectant and new parents to provide information and resources and answer questions regarding pregnancy, birth, and early childhood.

Representatives from local community organizations will also be available to provide information and resources, including the YMCA; Hub Family Resource Centre; Safe Communities Wood Buffalo; McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association; and The Children’s Centre.

The event is being held at Fort McMurray’s Community Health Services in Thickwood from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 25.

Participants are encouraged to schedule an appointment for the fair by calling Fort McMurray Community Health Services at 780-791-6247.

AHS is also reminding attendees that wearing a mask is required upon entry to Community Health Services.
