The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is closing the winter road to La Loche.

Due to warmer weather conditions, the road has deteriorated significantly.

The Municipality is reminding motorists that traveling on the closed road is strictly prohibited, and extremely dangerous. The RM stresses that anyone traveling on the road when it is closed is putting themselves and others at risk of a serious incident.

The RM has placed barricades and erected signage to inform motorists of the closure
