Keyano Supports Students at Awards Ceremony

Keyano College is handing out over half of a million dollars in scholarships and grants to students.

The honours were delivered on Tuesday night at the college’s annual Student Awards Ceremony.

Hundreds of students are receiving the money to help with their education. The scholarships and bursaries come through the generosity of more than 100 donors.

“Student Awards assist students by reducing barriers to education,” said awards MC, and Vice President Academic & Student Experience, Sandra Efu.

This year’s featured donor, Mr. Compton Vigilance, spoke of his family’s storied Keyano history and commitment to Keyano.

“Don’t ever doubt your ability to succeed. You will achieve your dreams if you work hard and stay focused. And remember, it’s okay to make mistakes,” said Mr. Vigilance.

The college is inviting current and prospective students who want to learn more about Keyano’s student awards program to visit their scholarships and bursaries website.
