The Fort McMurray International Airport is landing global recognition.
Airports Council International (ACI) -World, is honouring our airport with three Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards as part of their yearly customer service rankings.
Our airport is being presented:
- Best Airport in North America (serving under two million passengers annually)
- Most Enjoyable Airport in North America
- Cleanest Airport in North America

ASQ is based on research collected directly from the traveler, rating their satisfaction on the day of travel. Providing the most complete picture of the passenger experience journey from start to finish. The survey covers over 30 performance indicators, from wayfinding and check-in to amenities offered.

ACI’s ASQ initiative is the airport industry’s only global benchmarking program measuring passenger satisfaction while at the airport.

ACI -World serves over 700 members operating nearly 2000 airports in 171 countries. Since 2022 ACI has handed out 144 awards to 75 airports around the world.
