Alberta’s Affordability Action Plan goes live today

Applications for the Alberta Affordability Action Plan are opening today (January 18) at 9 a.m.

The plan is offering affordability payments of $600 over six months. The plan offers $100 monthly payments to seniors and those on social assistance for the next six months. Families and caregivers of children under the age of eighteen will also receive $100 for each child in their care.

To apply for assistance, you will need a My Alberta Digital ID. Albertans who have not yet signed up for one can apply for the digital ID here.

Those who already have a My Alberta Digital ID can apply for the Affordability Assistance Plan here.

The province hopes to begin issuing cheques as early as January 31.
