One person is dead following a house fire in Fort McMurray on Tuesday.

Around 9:30 AM Fire and Emergency Services, along with the RCMP responded to a house fire in the Abasand area.

According to Wood Buffalo RCMP, after the fire was extinguished, investigators found a 63-year-old male inside the house who had succumbed to his injuries.

The RCMP, along with the Fire Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are now investigating the matter.
