RMWB open to numerous free winter activities

The RMWB has been busy getting its outdoor recreation spaces ready to go.

The Abasand, Waterways, Stone Creek, and Syncrude Athletic Park rinks are now open. You can lace up your skates and enjoy the scenic Lions Park Skating trail.

The Borealis Park skating pond is set to open in the new year, adorned with festive lights and decorations.

If you’re looking for a place to take your toboggan in the evenings, the RMWB will have the lights on at the Timberlea Sliding Hill from 4-9 PM nightly.

Cross-country skiing along the Birchwood Trails is ready to go.

Additionally, the new Kiyām Community Park across from the municipal building is now open to the public.
