Applications now open for Arts Council of Wood Buffalo Residence programs

The Arts Council of Wood Buffalo is seeking applicants for their Artist In Residence, along with their Suncor Indigenous Artist programs.

The successful candidates will have an opportunity to spend time in our region, engaging with our community and residents, as well as mentoring and inspiring other local artists.

“The Artist in Residence and the Suncor Indigenous Artist Program are so impactful,” stated Arts Council Executive Director, Liana Wheeldon.

Arts Council will act as host to the selected artist for their time in the Wood Buffalo region. This includes the arrangement of accommodations, providing creative/studio space (in partnership with other organizations), administrative support, consultative services, and covering costs for the aforementioned items, as well as a per diem and some materials and supplies that the artist may need for the duration of their residency.

Applications remain open until February 1.
