An early Christmas gift came in for the Northern Lights Health Foundation as Cenovus Energy cut a $50,000 cheque in support of their work with pediatric and adolescent mental health.

“The Health Foundation is supporting the Pediatrics department in their quest to provide more and deeper support for children experiencing health conditions including mental health,” said Cindy Amerongen, Executive Director of The Northern Lights Health Foundation.

“We’d like to offer a big thank you to Cenovus for their support of this project.”

In a media release, the Pediatrics Department stated they have noted an alarming shift in the demographics of pediatric patients requiring care in their unit.

The generous donation from Cenovus will go towards the Pediatric and Adolescent Mental Health Project currently underway at our Hospital.
