Wood Buffalo RCMP is investigating a sudden death in Fort McMurray.

Police were called to an apartment building around midnight on Franklin Avenue on November 14, 2022, where they found a 40 year-old-man deceased, and another man who was injured.

The Mounties arrested the injured man and transported him to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. The Police state the injuries are not related to the arrest. He was later released from custody.

RCMP say they are not looking for any suspects, and there is no risk to the public.

The names of the two individuals have not been released.
