Earthquake rattles Fort McMurray Tuesday evening

Reports of an earthquake were felt in Northern Alberta Tuesday evening.

According to the Government of Canada’s official Earthquake account, @CANADAquakes, the earthquake was recorded around 4:45 pm.

According to Earthquakes Canada, it occurred roughly 29 km northeast of Reno, Alberta, with a 5.2-magnitude, and a depth of 4km.

A second earthquake was recorded by Earthquakes Canada around 5:55 pm, again roughly 26km northeast of Reno, AB, with a 6.0-magnitude, and depth of 2km.

No reports of damage have been reported in Fort McMurray.
