Two Fort McMurray men uninjured following plane crash on Wednesday

Two Fort McMurray men were found uninjured following a plane crash at a remote runway southwest of Fort McMurray on Wednesday.

Wood Buffalo RCMP was notified by the pilot of the plane on Oct 19, at 11:37 am that the small airplane they had been flying went down at the Grand Forestry Runway.

Police attended the crash site along with EMS, and Local HERO and found the pilot and a passenger uninjured.

Local HERO transported the men out of the area, as the runway where the crash site was located could not be accessed by road.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has taken carriage of the investigation.
