RMWB looking for Snow Angels to help seniors

The RMWB is seeking Snow Angels for the winter season.

The municipality is looking for dedicated and caring community members to help shovel walkways and driveways of seniors in our community.

Julie Gingras, a senior involved in the Snow Angels program says she is very appreciative of it.

“The best part of being in the Snow Angel program was the sense of knowing that I could leave my home when I needed to, without slipping on the stairs.”

Shovels and ice scrapers will be donated by the RMWB, and all homes are within Fort McMurray.

The Snow Angels Program began as a pilot in 2009, helping nine homes – and has grown to help more than 100 homes.

You can register online as an individual or team, or sign up a senior who needs help here.
