Fort McMurray Marathon raises over $74,000

The 2022 Fort McMurray Marathon celebrated another successful year with over 650 people taking part in the race.

The new “Run for a Reason” program saw the Marathon raise over $74,000 for local non-profit organizations.

“Thanks to our marathon participants, local nonprofits now have more resources available to deliver their services to our region,” said Alexis Tallon, Fort McMurray Marathon Organizing Committee Chair.

The new program lets marathon participants raise funds for their own favourite registered charity.

The day concluded with the CEDA Kid’s Fun Run for children aged 2-10.
