Speed enforcement vehicles in the RMWB received a new look over the weekend.

The RMWB said in a release that as of Friday, Sept 22, all photo radar vehicles are now branded bright yellow and blue.

“We want drivers to see the yellow and blue trucks parked at major intersections or school zones, which are high risk areas and where most violations occur,” says Deanne Bergey, Director of Community and Protective Services.

“Our goal is to make these areas safer by giving people a visual cue to ‘drive safe” and immediately slow down if they are going over the speed limit.”

Bergey says the revenue from tickets issued go back to the community through the Community Investment Program grants.
