Wood Buffalo RCMP arrest local man for dangerous driving

Wood Buffalo RCMP has arrested a man for dangerous driving in Fort McMurray.

On September 21, 2022, around 9:07 p.m. RCMP received numerous complaints of a man allegedly erratically driving his side-by-side in the downtown area.

The Mounties state that they tried to initiate a traffic stop with the side-by-side, but the driver fled the scene. Shortly after, RCMP would locate the vehicle and arrest the male.

23-year-old Cameron Robert Dolan from Fort McMurray has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, two counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, mischief under $5000, failure to comply with a breath demand, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle without registration, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and transport liquor within easy access.

Dolan was held in custody to appear at the Fort McMurray Provincial Courthouse on September 29, 2022.
