Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, a Fire Advisory is now in effect for the southern portion of the Fort McMurray Forest Area.
Fire bans remain in effect in the Fort McMurray Forest Area north of Lake Athabasca.
All wildfires in the Forest Area are considered held at this time.
Wildfire MWF-031 located 21 km north of Fort Chipewyan remains a fire of note and grew slightly eastward over the weekend now sitting at just over 26,000 hectares in size.
A total of 46 firefighters and six helicopters are continuing to indirectly battle the blaze.
Another wildfire located 13 km north of the Bitumount Oil Field Site grew to 790 hectares in size over the weekend and is now considered held by Alberta Wildfire.
There are three helicopters, three dozers, and approximately 49 staff working on containing the fire.
There are currently no threats to any communities in the Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo area at this time.
