Wood Buffalo RCMP investigating two shootings in Fort McMurray

Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking for your help in what they believe are two related shootings in Fort McMurray.

The Police were notified at 11:58 p.m. on June 29th of gunshots heard in the area of Tolen Drive. Shortly after arriving, the Police located a 22-year-old victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.

The second call of gunshots came 12 minutes later at 12:10 a.m. near the Stroud Bay and Caldwell Crescent area in Thickwood, with a report of an unknown suspicious male in the area.

Mounties were able to locate and seize a white Volkswagen Passat they believe is connected to the shootings.

Wood Buffalo RCMP is asking you to review any residential video that may have captured the white Volkswagen Passat or suspicious activity.
