Prince Albert man accused of child pornography arrested in Fort McMurray

A Prince Albert, Sask. man has been arrested in Fort McMurray after being wanted by police for over two years for alleged child pornography.

Nicki Daniels, 34, was arrested on July 7, 2020, following an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.

The ICE Unit implemented a search warrant of the suspect’s home seizing various electronic devices that police claim stored images and videos of child pornography.

Daniels was charged with possession of child pornography and was released from custody.

He was scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on August 11, 2020, but never showed, and a bench warrant was put out for Daniel’s arrest.

Wood Buffalo RCMP received a complaint on April 8, 2022, and members located him in the Abasand area and found him breaching his conditions.

According to RCMP, Daniels was remanded into custody at an Edmonton correctional facility until his next court date on June 27.
