Lightning caused wildfire being held outside Anzac

Alberta Wildfire stated in an email to Mix News that there are no threats to surrounding communities as they work to put out a wildfire in the Lac La Biche Forest Area.

Wildfire LWF-099 is seven kilometers east of Highway 881, at the 252-kilometer marker.

As of June 13, 1:25 PM, the wildfire is an estimated 207 hectares and classified as being held.

The general cause of the wildfire is lightning as per the Alberta Wildfire website.

Lac La Biche Forest Area wildfire danger is currently set at ‘High’, meanwhile, the Fort McMurray wildfire danger is ‘Moderate’.
