Seasonal yard waste pickup is beginning May 24 and running until September 30.

Each household can place up to four 16-kg bags of yard waste at the curb each week for collection. Extra bags will not be collected.

The following items can go in your brown paper yard waste bags:

• Grass clippings
• Leaves
• Flowers
• Weeds
• Brush, hedge trimmings
• Household and garden plants
• Small twigs less than 30 centimeters long

The following cannot go in the brown paper waste bags:

• Kitchen food scraps
• Pumpkins
• Pet waste
• broken plant pots
• Commercial yard waste
• Plastic and compostable bags

The RMWB is asking you to place your brown paper yard waste bags beside your collection bins on your regularly scheduled collection day.

Free yard waste drop-off is available all year round at the Municipal landfill.
