The Imagination Library of Wood Buffalo Foundation will be honouring its four partners Wednesday, April 20 at the Wood Buffalo Regional Library.
Inspired by the work of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, each child in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo receives a free age-appropriate book in the mail from birth to age five
Imagination Library Wood Buffalo has sent out thousands of books directly to the homes of residents from Fort Chipewyan to Conklin.
Their four partners, Athabasca Tribal Council, Fort McKay Metis Nation, Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo, and the Wood Buffalo Regional Library will each be giving a speech to discuss the merits of the program and how it helps children to be school-ready.
Local dignitaries such as the Honourable Laila Goodridge and Mayor Sandy Bowman are set to be in attendance.
The ceremony will be taking place on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:30 AM at the Wood Buffalo Regional Library’s children’s section.
