Fort McMurray International Airport’s Family Easter Event raised over $3,000 for the United Ways last weekend.
On April 2, the Airport hosted a Family Easter event for children in the region with Easter baskets on the luggage carousel, treats, prizes, games, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.
“It meant so much to us here at the United Way to be included in the event. The funds raised will support United Way agencies in the important work they do to serve our community,” said Erica Brewer, Director of Community Impact, United Way in a media release.
Over 1,200 guests took part in the Easter festivities.
With event fundraising and an internal Fort McMurray Airport Authority employee raffle, $3,350 was raised for the United Way.
“It was a magical day,” explained Brewer.
