The Wood Buffalo 2023 Arctic Winter Games (AWG) Host Society has announced they’ve launched sponsorship opportunities for the community.
Arctic Winter Games are a high-profile biennial circumpolar sports competition that highlights northern cultures from across the globe from Jan. 29- Feb. 4, 2023.
The Games were originally scheduled to take place this year from March 6-12 but were put on hold due to COVID-19.
Roughly 2,000 athletes will be taking part this year from the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Alaska, Greenland, Northern Alberta, and the Indigenous people of Norway, Sweden, and Finland
Six different sponsorship levels are available ranging from $2,500-24,999 Friends of the Games package to the $250,000 Diamond level.
“For one week, we will be the focus of the circumpolar North and it is with the continued support of the local business community that we are able to offer the best experience for our participants, visitors, officials, and fans,” said AWG General Manager, Nicole Clow in a media release.
