With Winter Maintenance Zones (WMZ) put to rest for the season, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is now asking for resident feedback on this year’s winter maintenance.
People living on residential streets within the WMZ program and those that live on Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary snow clearing routes may take part in the Survey.
The RMWB Winter Maintenance Survey is open until May 2.
According to Environment Canada, this winter season was recorded as being the 28th wettest winter on record.
The Municipality states that this created many challenges with maintenance crews having to remove roughly 570,000 cubic metres of snow in Fort McMurray.
Crews were also slowed down throughout the season having to tow over 800 vehicles parked in active Winter Maintenance Zones.
