Due to the warm weather the Fort Chipewyan Winter Road will be closed on Tuesday March 22 at 10 a.m.

The Municipality strongly advises against anyone from attempting to travel the Winter Road after it has been closed.

Signage and barricades will be erected with no detour possible.

Crews are planning to move the east ice crossing over the Des Roches River further south to avoid the Kazan Wildland Park.

This updated route is intended to be usable for the 2022-23 season.
