A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Thursday morning in Fort McMurray at a crosswalk walk at Confederation Way and Carteret Dr.

Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to the collision, where the pedestrian had suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital by EMS.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a violation ticket following the incident.

Police commented that with the poor driving conditions due to cold weather, they want to remind everyone to slow down and pay attention.
