PCN accepting self-reported at home COVID tests

On Monday Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw revealed that Alberta health have changed who will be eligible for PCR COVID testing, greatly increasing the need for at home rapid test kits.

Wood Buffalo Primary Care Network (PCN) has announced that during this surge of the new COVID-19 Omicron variant, they will be offering resources and support for residents in the North Zone to self-report their positive rapid antigen test result.

PCN is also providing a response team made up of triage nurses in Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie to help assess patients with COVID and if required to contact their family doctor.

Beginning Tuesday Jan. 11, anyone in the North Zone wishing to access their support services or report a positive test result, can do so on their website Northzonepcns.ca or calling 1-833-884-2193.
