Alberta has reported its highest recorded daily COVID-19 case count to date, as well as its highest positivity rate.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced on Wednesday that there were 4752 new cases with a 36.9% positivity rate, meaning that over 1/3 of people that got tested were positive with COVID.

There are now 470 hospitals in the province and 72 are in ICU.

Fort McMurray was reported as having 292 (+12) active cases and 21 in the rural area (0).
