Many people throughout Fort McMurray will be off for the holidays so be aware of what municipal services will continue to be available.

All residential areas in the Winter Maintenance Zones will be relaxed between Dec. 24-31, allowing mostly unhindered street parking at that time.

Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be uninterrupted during the holidays, so be sure to get your bins out to the curb on time.

The municipal landfill will only be closed on Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, which includes the public drop off area.

Conklin and Janvier transfer stations will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan. 1.

Various public transit services in Fort McMurray will be impacted throughout the holidays:

• On Dec. 25, transit routes 11, 12, 15, 16 and 99 will be available and operating on the statutory holiday schedule.
• On Dec. 26, transit routes 11, 12, 15, 16 and 99 will be available and operating on the statutory holiday schedule.
• From Dec. 27 to Dec. 31, transit will provide regular service to all routes.
• On Jan. 1, transit routes 11, 12, 16 and 99 will be available and operating on the statutory holiday schedule.

Rural transit services will remain unaffected.
