A temporary shake up is happening within the Fort McMurray Public School Division.

Thomas Andrews, who has 14 years of experience within the division, will be taking on the Acting Principal role at École McTavish.

Andrews has gone from Physical Education teacher to Vice Principal at École McTavish, while also overseeing the PEAK sports academy.

Scott Barr, who has been with the FMPSD for 25 years, will be the new Acting Director of Education.

Barr will be joining Cynthia Shelley in the Education Department at the Division office. He has held many positions from Teacher to Vice Principal, to Principal at École McTavish when he helped open the school back in 2011.

These roles will be taking place from January 4 to July 31, 2022.
