Children 12 and under will not have to show proof of vaccination under Restrictions Exemption Program

The province will be receiving more than 394,000 pediatric doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine and as of Wednesday will be accepting vaccine bookings for children ages 5 to 11.

Children will be able to receive their shot as early as Friday.

120 AHS vaccination clinics will be receiving doses along with four pharmacies that do not have AHS clinics close enough.

Walk-ins will not be available for the vaccine and must be booked on the AHS website or by calling Health Link at 811.

AHS is recommending that children wait eight weeks between doses, and at least two weeks between any other vaccine.

Children under the age of 12 will not fall under the Restrictions Exemption Program and will not have to show proof of vaccination status.
