Canada’s first vaccine for kids is being approved by Health Canada.

Coming from Pfizer-BioNTech, the vaccine will be offered to children between the ages of 5 and 11.

The vaccine will be administered in a two dose regimen, given 3 weeks apart, according to Health Canada.

Currently, 77 per cent of Fort McMurray aged 12 and up are already fully vaccinated, meanwhile the rural area is slightly behind at 71 per cent.

Meanwhile, 83 per cent of both Fort McMurray and the rural area have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
