Active COVID-19 Cases Drop Below 7,000 In Alberta

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have increased slightly across the province.

As of yesterday, there was a total of 691 (+2) people in the hospital due to the virus.

ICU numbers have increased to 159 (+2).

There are 6,911 (-669) active cases in Alberta with 151 (-6) in Fort McMurray, and 20 (-5) in rural areas.

The 7 day rolling average positivity rate across the province is 5.2 per cent, meanwhile in the North Zone it is 11.8 per cent.

To date, there has been 3,119 (+8) deaths due to COVID-19, 18 of which have been in Fort McMurray and 2 in the rural areas.
