Active Cases Rise In RMWB Due To COVID-19

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continue to decrease across the province.

As of yesterday, there was a total of 981 (-19) people in the hospital due to the virus.

ICU numbers have decreased to 225 (-4).

There are 12,302 (-676) active cases in Alberta, with 241 (+1) in Fort McMurray, and 12 (+5) in rural areas.

The 7 day rolling average positivity rate across the province is 7.6 per cent, meanwhile in the North Zone it is 17.6 per cent.

To date, there has been 2,976 (+30) deaths due to COVID-19, 18 of which have been in Fort McMurray and 2 in the rural areas.
