The Government of Alberta is rolling our their QR code for the vaccine.

Businesses and patrons can use the free Alberta COVID-19 Records Verifier app to check vaccination status.

The QR code will display your name and date of birth, which businesses can cross reference with another piece of ID. The app does not store any personal information and does not require an internet connection after downloaded.

When scanned, the app will verify with a green check if they meet the Restrictions Exemptions Program (REP) requirements. The app will show as invalid if a patron does not meet requirements of REP of if the QR code has been tampered with.

Albertans can also get a printed QR code from a local registry or by calling 8-1-1.

Other forms of proof of vaccination will continue to be accepted until November 15th.

The Alberta Covid Records Verifier app is available for download on Apple and Android devices through the respective app stores.
