Hospitalizations Rise Across Alberta Due To COVID-19

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continue have increased across the province.

As of yesterday, there was a total of 1094 people in the hospital due to the virus.

ICU numbers have decreased to 248.

There are 18,411 active cases in Alberta, with 332 in Fort McMurray, and 19 in rural areas.

The 7 day rolling average positivity rate across the province is 9.6 per cent, meanwhile in the North Zone it is 18.7 per cent.

To date, there has been 2,814 deaths due to COVID-19, 18 of which have been in Fort McMurray and 2 in the rural areas.
