ICU Admissions Continue To Climb In Alberta Due To COVID-19

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continue to rise across the province.

Over the past 3 days, there were 2 more people admitted to hospitals due to the virus, bringing the total to 1063.

ICU numbers have increased by 22, from 243 to 265.

There are 20,307 (+267) active cases in Alberta, with 264 (+25) in Fort McMurray, and 18 (+5) in rural areas.

The 7 day rolling average positivity rate across the province is 10.6 per cent, meanwhile in the North Zone it is 19.9 per cent.

To date, there has been 2,645 (+23) deaths due to COVID-19, 18 of which have been in Fort McMurray and one in the rural areas.
