The RMWB’s Indigenous speaker series is welcoming its second guest on the inaugural Truth and Reconciliation Day.
Michelle Good, author of Five Little Indians will present virtually at 2pm on Thursday.
The free event will feature an address from the author and a question and answer period.
The It’s Time to Talk: Indigenous Speaker Series is meant to highlight voices of Indigenous artists, writers, activists, and leaders and demonstrate the powerful impact one person can have.
Earlier this year, Truth and Reconciliation Day was established by the federal government in response to the (TRC) of Canada’s Call to Action #80.
For her writing, Good has received multiple awards including the HarperCollins/UBC Best New Fiction Prize, the Amazon First Novel Award, the Governor General’s Literary Award and the Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Award.
