Hospitalizations and ICU Admissions Up Across Province; Active Cases In RMWB Down

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continue to rise across the province.

As of yesterday, there were 18 more people admitted to hospitals due to the virus, bringing the total to 1058.

ICU numbers have increased slightly, from 222 to 226.

There are 20,180 (-124) active cases in Alberta, with 227 (-6) in Fort McMurray, and 11 (+2) in rural areas.

The 7 day rolling average positivity rate across the province is 10.3 per cent, meanwhile in the North Zone it is 19.3 per cent.

To date, there has been 2,611 (+17) deaths due to COVID-19, 18 of which have been in Fort McMurray and one in the rural areas.
