RCMP Investigating One Reported Incident Of Dog Poisoned From Contaminated Meat

There is no immediate concern despite claims of several dog poisonings.

That’s according to Wood Buffalo RCMP who’ve received one report of contaminated meat being found at a dog park.

In an email sent to Mix News, they state the incident remains under investigation which includes furthering avenues to identify the suspected contaminants.

As there’s only being one incident reported to the Mounties, the police note there’s no ‘immediate concern.’

However, several social media posts have been made by residents who claim there have been multiple incidents.

This includes one individual alleging ‘multiple dogs died and others are seriously ill’ after treats were put in people’s yards.

Anyone with information on other potential situations can contact RCMP at 780-788-4040 or or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-545-8477 (TIPS).
